Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Paro arrival • Transfer to Punakha
Welcome to Bhutan. You will be received on arrival by one of Bhutan Travelplus’s experienced tour host, and transfer to the fertile Punakha valley, pause at Dochula Pass to admire sweeping Himalayan panoramas. Visit Chimmi Lhakhang (Temple of the Divine Madman) before checking into your hotel and settling in for the evening.

Day 2 — Punakha discovery • Drive to Paro
After breakfast explore the majestic Punakha Dzong, a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture. Enjoy a scenic 30‑minute hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten with panoramic valley views, then visit the Wolokha nunnery for an intimate glimpse of monastic life. In the afternoon drive back to Paro, enroute stop over at Thimphuto explore the clock tower square and Norzin Lam. Stroll Paro town and relax at your accommodation.

Day 3 — Paro • Hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest)
Today’s focus is the unforgettable hike to Taktsang Monastery. Begin early and ascend to the monastery vantage points; pause at the cliff‑side cafeteria for dramatic views and contemplation. After lunch visit Kyichu Lhakhang — a vital spiritual site — then enjoy free time exploring Paro town for local crafts and souvenirs. Optional evening: a traditional hot‑stone bath and farmhouse dinner for a true Bhutanese experience.

Day 4 — Departure from Paro
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Depart with lasting memories, new friends and a deeper sense of Bhutan’s quiet grandeur. Tashi Delek!

• Fitness: Moderate — Taktsang hike requires good mobility and stamina.
• Clothing: Layered clothing recommended; sturdy walking shoes for hikes.
