All the national’s apart from Indian’s need to process visa in advance through one of the the government certified agents like us, Indian Nationals do not require any Visa to travel to Bhutan. In Fact, Indian’s are the only ones who has the privilege to travel to Bhutan without visa and also without USD 200 SDF a night halt, for Indians its only INR1200 a night halt. Tourists from other countries have to pay a minimum of $200 per person per night halt which is just a tax to the government and does not include anything.
However Indian tourists have to take a permit to travel to Bhutan which can be taken from Phuentsholing Immigration Office if you are coming via Road. If you are arriving in Paro by flight then you can get a tourist permit at Paro airport only.
